Pattaya: The Place to Go in Thailand
There is something for everyone in Pattaya, Thailand.

From an isolated, quiet town in the 1950s, Pattaya has emerged as the entertainment capital of Thailand and to some, the Amsterdam of Asia. Look for hotels in Pattaya today.

It all began when a small group of American GIs on leave from Vietnam came for some rest and recreation in 1961. And in a very short time - Boom - the place exploded, developing into a major tourist destination, a favourite of those who are looking for a good time, not alone for themselves, but also for their entire family.

The city is famous for its hotels and nightclubs. There, you can find many discotheques, karaoke bars, bars that offer entertaining shows and the company of attractive hostesses, plush nightclubs and even transvestite cabarets. Whatever it is that you may desire, no matter how different or unique, there is something there especially for you.

But there are other tourist attractions to be enjoyed by your whole family, other than just the exciting nightlife. A package tour can be arranged specifically to match your particular interests. Or you can prefer to go it on your own. Explore  Pattaya attractions in your next visit.

You might want to tour the many beautifully designed golf courses that offer diverse obstacles and difficult challenges to help you improve your game. Biking and sailing contests are hosted there, as well. You might want to watch them while there. If you prefer something more interactive, try out the computerized laser guns and vests and play paintball.

You might want to take your kids to a secluded resort hotel where you can "cable jump", sliding across a 170 meter line that also affords you a panoramic view of the city.

You could trek to a 3 kilometer long beach or go to a water park with giant whirlpools and a swimming pool. Something cool and relaxing for the family.

Your whole family will enjoy a trip to a nature preserve where landscaped terrain is home to grazing animals, crocodiles and albino bears. There is also a place where you can find giant elephants entertaining visitors by doing tricks and re-enacting ancient ceremonies and rituals.

The largest aquarium in Asia can also be found there. An underwater tunnel equipped with transparent glass affords you a spectacular view of some 400 different marine species.

Lovers of plants and orchids can visit a farm where cattleyas, pompadours and other plants are grown. The plants and flowers are available for sale if you should want to take them home.

There is a museum where you can view some 300 bottles that have mini churches, temples and ships inside them.

For those who are seeking a more spiritual experience, you could visit the many Buddhist shrines and temples and view some monuments and replicas of religious icons.
